Our beautiful Ashlan returned to her Heavenly Father on January 11, 2014. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend. Ashlan was born on September 6, 1997 in American Fork, UT to Russell & Christianne Kendall. Ashlan is loved and missed by her sister Maya (9), and brothers Jordan (17) Braedon (14) and Ari Wulf (3).
During her short life she touched many with her compassion and love she had for others, especially the underdog. Ashlan loved to travel and loved her time visiting London, Paris, New York City and Hawaii. Ashlan was a gifted songwriter. She loved to sing, play her guitar and express herself musically. She enjoyed being a member of the Serendipity Choir at Salem Hills High School.
Ashlan fought severe depression and anxiety for some time. She just grew too weary of the fight. Our hearts are broken but we know she has finally found peace. We're overcome with profound sadness but take comfort in knowing she's with those that love her and that we'll be re-united with her again as an eternal family.
A viewing will be held, Friday January 17, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E 200 S Springville, UT 84663 and Saturday January 18, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30am at the Payson East Stake Center. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at Payson East Stake Center 185 E Ridgeview Drive, Elk Ridge, UT 84651. She will be laid to rest in the Vernon Utah Cemetery at 3:00 pm that afternoon.
