Ardis Ila Gadd Killpack, age 92 of Springville passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 27, 2014. She was born May 28, 1921, in Provo, Utah to Joseph Paxman Gadd and Ila Mann Gadd. She married her sweetheart Theron William Killpack April 25, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death September 8, 1954.
Ardis was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of her life. She considers her greatest treasures to be her children and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She served in all of the women's organizations as a teacher or counselor in her wards. She also served in the Stake Relief Society presidency. Ardis served in the Baptistery in the Provo temple for nine years. She also served as a missionary in the Washington DC South Mission in 1997. After the death of her husband Theron, she attended BYU full-time and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to teach homemaking at Springville High School for 15 years. She loved to sew, cook, garden, read and do handiwork. She made over 200 quilts which she gave to her children, grand-children, great� grandchildren, as well as others who were in need.
She is survived by her children: Vicki Killpack (Alfred) Lee, Randy Theron (Stephanie) Killpack, Kim William (Ruth) Killpack all of Springville; also survived by a daughter-in-law, Dianne Killpack of Sandy, 20 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and her brother, Hal Paxman (Marie) Gadd of American Fork. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theron, a baby sister, and her son Terry Joe (Dianne) Killpack.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 12

Ward Chapel located at 235 East 550 North. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville or Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
