Anita Palfreyman Miller, age 89 of Springville, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 22, 1925 in Springville, Utah to Bert Floyd and Loeen Beardall Palfreyman. She graduated from Springville High School and spent her entire life in Springville.
She married William Jerome Miller October 6, 1943. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti temple on November 11, 1961. Together they had seven sons. Bill passed away August 23, 1981. She was alone for 32 years.
Anita served 3 missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; a proselyting mission in Kentucky/Tennessee, a temple mission in Washington D.C. and a family history mission in Salt Lake City, UT. She also served as a worker in the Provo Temple and held many callings in the church. She was a faithful member of the church all her life.
She loved growing up on the family farm with her siblings and had many fond memories of that time.
Her many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She also enjoyed her childhood group of friends that still met together for lunch once a month.
She is survived by her sons: William (Karen), Douglas (Patricia), Craig A. (Susan), Kirk, Glenn all of Springville, and Richard (Laurie) of Kemmerer, WY. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Collette (Glade) Binks, sister-in-law, Janet Palfreyman and brother-in-law Ed Murdock. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William; her son, Clark; two grandsons, Gregory and Ryan; and her siblings, Kent, Gloria and sister-in-law Annette.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek West Stake Center, 555 South 600 East, Springville. There will be a viewing held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
