Alice Brereton Hansen

Alice B. Hansen (Alie-Gus) was reunited with her sweetheart Wayne L Brereton for time and all eternity on Wed., Dec. 14, 2011. Alice was born on Oct. 23, 1931 to Louis and June Bigler Gustin in Fairview, UT at the Poor Farm building. Alice married Wayne L. Brereton on Oct. 9, 1951 in Evanston, WY. They were later sealed in the Provo Utah Temple. They had 3 children, Becky Pepper, Rick (Tammy) Brereton and Jackie (James) Kelly; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. After Wayne passed away Alice married Duane Hansen in 1979.



Alice is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers (John & Mont Gustin); a sister, Norma Mock; husband, Wayne L Brereton; husband, Duane Hansen; grandson, Terry Sorensen and a son-in-law, Scott Pepper.



Alice achieved many things, she was a volunteer and Captain of the D.U.P. She worked at the Orem Youth Council, was a student at a political school in Flagstaff, AZ. She was an election judge for over 30 years, a member of the Golden Kiwanis Club and Pink Lady at UVRMC. She also taught reading at many grade schools throughout Orem.



Many thanks to Stella Welsh who walked with Alice for 20 years and Dr. Dahl who kept Alice's heart going for over 20 years. Alice will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She lived life to the fullest.



Services will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Cascade 4th Ward 1051 E 200 N, Orem, UT. Viewings will be held, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT and Monday 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
